Version 4.3 improves upon core demand-driven Scheduling and Execution Application for Manufacturers
St. Paul, MN June 20, 2006 Synchrono, Inc., the leading provider of software and consulting solutions that enable manufacturers to synchronize from the factory out, announced the release of Adaptive Manufacturing version 4.3. This version features enhancements allowing increased flexibility and configurability to manufacturers that are focused on demand-driven, synchronized production methodologies. David Dehne, CEO of Synchrono, explains "Our development focus for Version 4.3, as in any of Synchrono's software enhancements, is to continuously improve our client's ability to respond to and manage customer demand by tying planning and scheduling technology to shop-floor execution. Version 4.3 simplifies how our customers use the Synchrono real-time solutions even more effectively." At a high level, Synchrono's Adaptive Manufacturing solution helps companies drive their business from a customer demand perspective, adapt to changing requirements, while communicating those needs from the front office, supply chain and the factory floor through real-time execution technology. Adaptive Manufacturing controls the amount of work-in-progress (WIP) released to the plant floor by continuously monitoring the released load to the 'pacemaker' resources. This patented methodology effectively stabilizes work flow, creates predictability, and drives velocity throughout the manufacturing process. As well as regulating work load, Adaptive Manufacturing synchronizes all the manufacturing and support areas to work on the right tasks, in the right priority, at the right time. In addition to the increased flexibility and configurability of the user interface, several core enhancements were made to the product. The Adaptive Manufacturing 4.3 release has added functionality in defining loads through queue blocking by resource, enhanced inventory management methodologies, customer demand signals and automated replenishment expedite capabilities to adaptively manage in-process inventory levels. These additional features continue to empower the Synchrono customer base to drive best practices in manufacturing through the implementation of real-time demand driven systems that enables superior results such as:
